Please join us for the 14th Annual A Taste of the Highlands at John Howell Park, featuring the best neighborhood bites and drinks from Virginia Highland and beyond. It's all you can eat and drink, so come hungry and plan to stay for a lovely afternoon with live music in the park. All proceeds benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, so you can feel good about stuffing yourself silly!

ABOUT THE CHARITY

Mission: To make kids better today and healthier tomorrow.

Dedicated to All Better:  Whether treating a toddler in an emergency or supporting a teen through chemotherapy treatments, CHOA is dedicated to the care of each patient. It’s through teamwork at every level of CHOA and with families that they are able to achieve excellence in pediatric care. CHOA is the pediatric teaching site for Emory University’s School of Medicine and Morehouse’s School of Medicine.

CHOA offers facilities across Georgia: Children’s at Egleston, Children’s at Hughes Spalding, and Children’s at Scottish Rite. Additionally, CHOA has more than 20 neighborhood locations throughout metro Atlanta to make it more convenient for families. These include the Marcus Autism Center, five Urgent Care Centers, and facilities that offer primary care, sports medicine, rehabilitation, and surgical services.

Proceeds from this event go towards:
• Critical care equipment
• Transport emergency vehicles
• Friends Research Fund
• Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit
• AFLAC cancer center endowment
• Patient and family support
• Chaplaincy

When and where do I find A Taste of the Highlands?
The 14th Annual A Taste of the Highlands will take place Saturday, May 13th, from 2-5 PM in John Howell Park (at the corner of Virginia Ave and Barnett St.) in the Virginia Highland neighborhood.

Where and how can I buy tickets?
Tickets will go on sale Monday, March 20th and be sold online until 12 PM Friday, May 12. You may purchase tickets at the door for $75, if space is still available. We expect this year's event to sell out.

How do I get my tickets if I purchased them online?
All tickets purchased online are held at the two entrances (one at Barnett and one on Virginia Ave.) to pick up the day of the event. Regular admission ticketholders may use either entrance. VIP please come to the Barnett entrance for expedited entry.

What are ticket prices?
$50 general admission limited to first 150 tickets sold.

$60 advance adult general admission.

$50 advance student general admission (must present valid student ID at the door).

$30 advance child (ages 10-15) general admission, children under 10 are free.

$100 VIP in advance only. VIP tickets are not sold at the door.

$75 general admission at the door.

What are the perks of VIP tickets?
Enjoy and all-inclusive VIP experience including separate entry to the event, tented VIP-only area with exclusive tastings and premium beer and wine and extra seating, separate reserved restroom and $25 gift certificate to Fifth Group Restaurants. We will also have drink runners to bring beverages from the general event to your table--no waiting in the beer line!

How do I change information on tickets if I bought them online?
If you need to make changes to your order (names, etc), please email tasteofthehighlands@gmail.com.

What should I bring with me to the event?
The only mandatory item to bring is your valid ID. We cannot admit anyone without a valid ID. You might also consider bringing a blanket or small chairs, as seating will be very limited. Oh, and don't forget your appetite!

Where do I park my car?
We highly recommend walking if you live in the neighborhood, or taking MARTA if you come from farther away. There will be limited street parking as well, but please be respectful of driveways! Remember to lock your car and remove all valuables.

What if there is inclement weather?
A Taste of the Highlands is an outdoor event and will be held rain or shine. If it rains, bring your umbrella and enjoy a Saturday of good food, drinks and company anyway....It's all to benefit Children's Healthcare!

Are dogs allowed?
Unfortunately, the City of Atlanta does not allow pets (other than service animals) at outdoor festivals.

Can my kids come?
Children are allowed, but remember, this is an adult-focused event with alcohol. Tickets for children ages 10-15 are $30, under 10 is free.
